camp raglan

This morning the years sevens and eights were assembled to room ten to do some activities based on our school camp in raglan we were writing some brainstorms for what was expected like participating and contributing everyone who is going to camp must participate in every activities provided for camp and also in group discussion and many more we also we made a brainstorm for relating to others we wrote some stuff related to what we were supposed to write about like interacting effectively with a range of of people.

what makes tamaki special

This afternoon we were split up into groups to answer this question,what makes tamaki special?
there were five teams to come up with as many answers you can we so we came up with as many as we could i think this was cool because it was a time where our class could get together and participate in a group activity we came up with some stuff like what we do for a program so like kiwi can,kiwisport,camp,eotc.and many more also we had a second question it was ,how can we make tamaki a better place? some of our answers where . picking up rubbish,no racism,setting a good example for the little kids,and more fun days.

kiwisports.

For kiwisports today we did basketball it was an interesting experience for me and my friends. Basketball is one the most biggest sports in my class not to all of us but just a few we were shooting some hoops dribbling, bouncing,passing,bounce passing  and a load of other stuff we were split up into teams a boys and girls at the end the coach talked about different basketball teams and were you can go to practise.

Rewriting a book

Today i read a book call,interplanetary weather bulletin it's about the heat temperature and the weather but in different planets this book is also about the sun and the solar system the characters on this book are Poppy the alien Bob the robot and many more the book i am reading is also about have some planets rotate and how fast they orbit the sun. “I think this book is filled with a lot of facts that you should know about" thank you for your patients.

Loud shirt day

Loud Shirt Day is dedicated to deaf children on friday 23rd of 2016 our school is celebrating loud shirt day we are wearing bright colored shirts it's a mexican fiesta on friday we are learning about teamspirit some people in our school are also suffering from deafness like kiko and faith there ears can not work so they have to use hearing aids in order to hear we are planning to have a lot of fun celebrating and fundraising for those who are deaf we are also wearing animal onesies.

Authos purpose

The text i read was about a boy who watches too much tv and plays too much video games and so his mother tells him if he can read a book for 30 minutes every day she will buy him a dvd movie to watch her challenge was accepted and she swears he will never be able to put the book down and stop reading and so he reads and reads his mum reckons he will see that the books are better than the movies until theres more his grandad wants him to spend time with him one hour each week to play chess with him his grandad wants to teach him some stuff his mother think's it's a great idea so he can get to know his grandad.


His best friend at school heather is playing netball her parents are making her do it they say she to watches to much tv it's bad for them two because they have to give up their computer chat life because heather has netball practice his best friend wants him to play too so that way they can talk face to face his mother thinks thats also a great idea she thinks they can spend more time together he couldn't believe his eyes when he researched about watching to much tv it said it can cause health problems so he gets caught up in reading and starts to like it for once he also knows how to play chess and is really good at it he also decided to play netball and he also goes for runs with his friend.

I think this story is about watching tv and play game too much is bad for you and can cause damage to you.

My group article review

WALT: use Bloom’s Taxonomy to critically summarize a current event.

SC: I can;

- identify key words in a news article.  

- use critical thinking skills to analyse a current event.

I worked in a group to complete a bloom's taxonomy task about the Olympics with my four friends we each had a slide to finish individually and put it all in one presentation to understand the text we used a skill that our teacher taught us call analysing but she taught us to always read the words you know and research what the other words mean next time i would like to work on my researching skills and my typing skill to type faster.

This is my writing: On the third day of the olympics The NZ women’s rugby sevens were awarded a silver medal when the NZ women's rugby team versed germany nz had lost to germany and came second germany came first NZ came second and canada came third.

cooking at technolegy


Today for Technology I did cooking with miss tuipulotu we made a sauce for pasta we made it with olive oil onions garlic tomatoes vinegar and soy sauce we each had a job to do one of us had to crush the garlic one of us had to dice the onions and the last person had to stir the ingredients together miss tuipulotu was walking around putting the tomatoes in and a bunch of spices in. I learnt how to make sauce for my pasta Next week I will focus on developing my cooking skills for next week for technology.

Today kia manawanui went to tamaki college for technology. We were put into different groups some of us were in sewing 3d art and woodcraft. So we walked to our classes and the teachers were explaining what they do in here.Then the teacher introduced herself then we did some research then a few minutes later the bell rang then it was time to go back to school.
