Tuakana teina day

Today room 10 and room1 were buddied up for tuakana teina. I was buddied up with perry and this morning we made a kete using paper, card board, scissors,a glue stick, and plastic colouring crayons. The first thing we did was colour the kete then we cut them out with the scissors. We had to glue one of them to the card board so we glued perry's one to the card. Then we had to cut some food out like banana's. After we stapled the kete together then stuffed them with paper towels. The finishing product looked pretty cool perry put toast, pineapples, cheese, kiwi fruit, karrot, fish, and yogurt on his. I put bananas, kumara, chicken, eggs, milk,an apple, and some nuts on my one .

Degrees turns and flips

For maths this week it's going to be based on matariki for today's lesson of math we were learning about angels like a 360 turn and the cluster of stars matariki turns/rotates but does not flip it rotates in four different ways they are 0 degrees or 360,90 degrees,180 degrees,270 degrees but when it is rotated it looks the same except turned on different angles Miss kyla explained to the whole class the difference between flipped and rotated for example flipped is when you turn something over and rotate means you are like spinning an object like a piece of paper or a book.

matariki planting

Yesterday Kia Manawanui went to paddington reserve to plant some trees there were three types of trees to plant there were manuka trees kowhai trees and harakeke plants it was fantabulous and a good opportunity for us to get out of the class and I'd like to say thank you to the people who organised this event mad ave.

Bone tiki

I'm finally on chapter two on the bone tiki book written by david hair so far I'm mad at this book because this guy puarata is a pretty bad person and I don't like it  but from what i've heard puarata actually owns the tiki

In the book it talks about matui and his father going to the marae and meeting everyone there his cousin or young uncle riki is like his best friend to be honest when the books describing riki it sounds like me and we got the same name wow anyways he's with riki next to the frontgate talking about hangi and mats mouth starts watering they go towards the meeting house but they seem scared they see carvings looking at them as they walked on then they see an old woman in a korowai or something then he goes to where nanny wai's body is and at tells his auntie about puarata then the auntie gave the bone tiki to mat, mat and riki goes outside but then an unidentified car pulled up in the crowd of cars a bunch of people came out of the car then puarata came out to be continued.            Image result for bone tiki
